Agile development is based on iterations using time frames. The goal of each iteration is to produce a working product. Agile is open to changing requirements and encourages constant feedback from end users. One of the most popular Agile frameworks is Scrum. Fixed-length iterations (sprints) lasting two weeks. At the end of each sprint, the team and customers meet to plan the next steps.
The Waterfall method involves creating a step-by-step calendar plan with time estimates and task distribution. Unlike Agile, it uses a linear process. Stable requirements for the project are set from the very beginning. The project is easy to control and track resources and risks.
